Joy is an excellent Chinese tutor who combines strong subject knowledge with a very thoughtful and student-centred approach. She adapts her lessons carefully to the student's level and goals, and explains language, pronunciation, and cultural context in a clear and engaging way. I particularly valued the depth of her explanations and her ability to make complex aspects of Chinese easier to understand. I would highly recommend Joy to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, patient, and supportive Chinese tutor.

Joy was a fantastic teacher, patient and fun. Her lessons were always carefully prepared. I'm not a natural linguist by any means, and she has given me the confidence that I really can learn another language.
