Teacher of 15 years with SEN and 11+ experience

Empowering primary pupils to achieve academic excellence through a confident, child-centred approach. Hello! I’m Claire, a qualified primary school teacher with 15 years of classroom experience, specialising in Key Stage 2 progression, 11+ entrance exam preparation, and core primary literacy and numeracy. Over the past decade and a half in primary education, I’ve seen firsthand that true academic success is built on emotional confidence, self-belief, and tailored support. That is why my online tuition goes far beyond traditional rote learning and repetitive worksheets. A Unique, Holistic Approach to Learning Alongside my 15 years of qualified teaching experience, I hold diplomas in both Montessori Pedagogy and Play Therapy. This unique combination allows me to blend high-level academic rigor with a deep understanding of child development and emotional regulation: 15 Years Primary Teaching Expertise: Deep knowledge of the UK curriculum, assessment frameworks, and high-stakes 11+ preparation (GL & CEM styles). Montessori Principles: Fostering independent thinking, self-motivation, and concrete visual understanding so complex concepts genuinely "click." Play-Therapy-Informed Strategy: Reducing exam anxiety, building resilience around mistakes, and creating a low-stress environment where children feel safe to take risks and stretch their abilities.
