I am an English Teacher, native English speaker, and published academic of Inclusive Education, with international experience

Hello, My name is Emily and I am a qualified English teacher with a First Class BA (Hons) degree in Education, a PGCE in English (specialising in ESOL), and a CELTA. With international teaching experience and a background across diverse settings—including prisons, colleges, outdoor education, special schools, and community programmes—I bring both excellent teaching skills and a strong command of the English language. My lessons are highly interactive, engaging, and tailored to your needs. I embed formative assessment throughout, ensuring that progress is tracked and support is targeted and effective. Using AI, digital tools, and authentic real-life resources, I help learners explore English in creative, meaningful ways that build both accuracy, confidence and fluency. In addition, I have 10 years of experience in acute care settings, so I can offer specialist support in Medical English proficiency for healthcare professionals. I am a calm, articulate and observant professional, and my students always comment on my approachable, fun, and supportive approach. Whether your goals are academic, professional, or personal, I create a safe, motivating environment where you can grow and succeed in English.
