Friendly Native English and Maths Tutor for all ages!

Hi! My name is Kathryn and I’m a warm and friendly UK native. I am currently studying a Primary PGCE at UCL, with over two years of experience as a Teaching Assistant at an international school in Hong Kong. I love working with all ages, from learners aged 5 and upwards! While my main focus is helping students speak, read, and write English with confidence, I also offer Primary Maths tutoring using the latest teaching strategies from my UCL training. I am interested in different types of pedagogy and strive to teach students through science-based research and positivity. This can follow the UK curriculum or general practice to boost your confidence in whichever subject you need. In my lessons, we keep things engaging and supportive. A typical session begins with a fun warm-up, from there, we move into active, guided learning where we tackle key concepts step-by-step and finishes with practical exercises to solidify key concepts. However, the lessons can be tailored to your requirements, whether it's to practice certain concepts for homework or to learn new topics. I bring a rich bank of worksheets, games, and tailored resources to every session. Whether you need structured guidance in English, support with primary-level Maths, or casual practice to boost overall confidence, I adapt my teaching style to match your needs and pace. Scheduling is easy and flexible, as I offer all lessons online and can fit according to your lifestyle. I'm looking forward to meet you and have a fun learning experience together~
