John was very constructive and understanding with his comments and very intuitive with my specific requirements I needed to improve my playing. I look forward to working with him.

John is a great teacher, he’s very adaptable and engaging and is a passionate and accomplished musician. He taught both my children from age 8 up, highly recommend.

John is a great guy and taught me guitar from having 0 previous guitar playing experience up to playing in bands, getting a music degree and even helping with building my own guitars. He is everything you could want in a tutor - really friendly guy, patient, knowledgeable and goes above and beyond to tailor the learning experience to you. Couldn't recommend John highly enough!

John was a great tutor for me, his lessons were flexible, interactive and enjoyable. He gave freedom in what I could learn and pushed my technical ability, even early. His camera setup is also great, with different angles and views to really understand what is going on. Overall would highly recommend John.

John is absolutely wonderful as a tutor. My 12 year old son has been having weekly, online guitar lessons for the past year. My son gets on with his, very friendly personality and looks forward to his lesson. The online set up that John offers is outstanding. He must have a full music studio in his house because it is very professional. It’s an easy commitment online as there is no travelling. What a bonus that John came highly recommended to us. Thank you John!

John is fantastic and a very talented patient instructor, He taught my son Aaron during CV via zoom i think it was! He had never once picked up a guitar in his life, soon he was playing very confidently after just a few lessons, hes now doing musical theatre but still picks up his guitar and plays to help him relax. Thank you so much for all your patience teaching him and he will definitely be playing for years to come all down to you John Thank you

John taught my daughter drums and my son guitar for so many years he literally became part of the family. He has the patience of a saint and a love and passion for music like no other. Both of my children felt very comfortable with John from a very young age and learnt so much from him. I would 100% recommend John to anyone as a tutor trust me he is amazing

John is friendly, easy-going and very knowledgeable about music. He has a great level of understanding of music theory and various techniques on how to implement that on the guitar to help students achieve their goals. Highly recommended

John is enthusiastic to pass on his knowledge and always ensures you understands what he is teaching you. John always goes the extra mile to make lessons fun.

I couldn’t recommend John enough! He’s incredibly patient, friendly and encouraging, and always made lessons enjoyable. He was great at adapting lessons to what I wanted to learn and helped me build my confidence as well as my guitar skills. A genuinely lovely guy and a fantastic teacher!

John is a very patient teacher and structures his lessons to make them interesting and interactive. He relates to both young people and adults well and Is very knowledgeable. A true professional at all times

I couldn't have asked for a better guitar tutor! From day one, he has been incredibly professional, punctual, and well-prepared for every lesson. What stands out most to me is his endless patience—he has a fantastic ability to break down complex techniques and music theory into manageable steps, never making you feel rushed or discouraged when you struggle with a tricky passage. On top of his exceptional teaching skills, he is an extraordinarily talented musician whose playing is a constant source of inspiration. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to refine your skills, I cannot recommend him highly enough!"

John is an excellent tutor - knowledgeable, patient and always happy to help improve timing and technique. Very highly recommended!

I highly recommend John as a guitar teacher, having had remote lessons with him I find the lessons really convenient to arrange and have learnt a lot over the last few years I’ve been having lessons with John. During the lessons I’ve been given tips on proper technique which I feel has drastically improved my playing and he gives music to practice that you listen to and want to play which I find keeps me motivated. He also sets out stuff to work on for next lesson which I really find keeps me focused and practicing outside of lessons also. Again I cannot recommend John enough!

John is an enthusiastic and very patient teacher. He teaches both myself and my daughter and tailors the lessons to our individual needs. He is always happy to explain the theory of what you’re playing and will spend the time helping you get the correct sound to match the piece your playing.

Every sessiom was a blast. Learned sething new every lesson and couldnt have asked for a better teacher

I was a fellow Tutor of John's at Morley Academy, Leeds and would highly recommend him. He was very popular with the pupils and a very good colleague to work with. John is a highly skilled musician and a dedicated tutor. During the pandemic John was able to switch easily to online teaching as he has a well equipped studio with the necessary technology. I would definitely recommend John to be part of a teaching team.
