John was a great tutor for me, his lessons were flexible, interactive and enjoyable. He gave freedom in what I could learn and pushed my technical ability, even early. His camera setup is also great, with different angles and views to really understand what is going on. Overall would highly recommend John.

John is absolutely wonderful as a tutor. My 12 year old son has been having weekly, online guitar lessons for the past year. My son gets on with his, very friendly personality and looks forward to his lesson. The online set up that John offers is outstanding. He must have a full music studio in his house because it is very professional. It’s an easy commitment online as there is no travelling. What a bonus that John came highly recommended to us. John is fantastic and a very talented patient instructor, He taught my son Aaron during CV via zoom i think it was! He had never once picked up a guitar in his life, soon he was playing very confidently after just a few lessons, hes now doing musical theatre but still picks up his guitar and plays to help him relax. John taught my daughter drums and my son guitar for so many years he literally became part of the family. He has the patience of a saint and a love and passion for music like no other. I highly recommend John as a guitar teacher, having had remote lessons with him I find the lessons really convenient to arrange and have learnt a lot over the last few years I’ve been having lessons with John. During the lessons I’ve been given tips on proper technique which I feel has drastically improved my playing and he gives music to practice that you listen to and want to play which I find keeps me motivated. He also sets out stuff to work on for next lesson which I really find keeps me focused and practicing outside of lessons also. Again I cannot recommend John enough!

John is an enthusiastic and very patient teacher. He teaches both myself and my daughter and tailors the lessons to our individual needs. He is always happy to explain the theory of what you’re playing and will spend the time helping you get the correct sound to match the piece your playing.
