Rory is truly an incredible teacher. He makes all of his lessons and curriculums feel extremely personal, which makes learning the bass such a joy. He always goes the extra mile to check in on your playing in between lessons and provide extra guidance which has been incredible. Beyond all of this, he is just an absolutely lovely guy and a joy to be around. Could not think of anyone better to learn from.

Had a great time with Rory as an adult improver. He can help you master all the basics and get deep into theory, but he is also pragmatic around making the most of limited time. I could really see the difference in jams, and the lessons are really fun in themselves. I especially liked exploring different genres.

If you want to be taught by someone who is intuitive, warm and dead smart to boot then you have found your teacher. From the outset Rory took the time to understand my needs and tailor made the lesson plan to fit. He really cares, is empathic in his approach and has contextualised concepts for me that have baffled me for decades. Doesn't matter if you're slow or quick to the party, through his impressive depth of knowledge, he will happily and effectively show you around. Do it!

New to bass and mostly self-taught, I wasn't sure how to progress. Having now taken lessons with Rory for over half a year, I've noticed huge improvements in my playing and overall understanding of music.
