Experienced teacher of English, English literature and history of ideas

With a PhD and nineteen years of teaching experience, I am able to create inspiring and thought-provoking classes for young learners, through an exploratory process of careful engagement and constant re-evaluation. . My international background has equipped me with the skills to empathize and connect effectively with a range of students from diverse backgrounds - advising and guiding them according to their individual life-choices - as well being adept at interacting with colleagues and the general public, in promoting the cosmopolitan values essential for institutional excellence. Utilizing my background in the history of ideas, I can help young students to develop their own framework of understanding - one which is open and interactive, focused not only on encouraging the critical skills required for all kinds of problem-solving, but one which also stimulates their capacity for intellectual pleasure, so crucial to a life beyond cliché and platitude.
