Experienced singer-songwriter teaches guitar lessons tailored to your needs. Empathetic and patient approach!

My lessons typically last for 50-60 minutes, which will always be entirely dedicated to helping you play the type(s) of music that interest you the most. I will always begin by asking what your preferred genres and artists are, and this will help us set a realistic plan for how to develop your musicianship and playing ability. Typically, around 10-20 minutes of our lessons will be dedicated to isolated exercises, which will help us properly warm up and address specific topics in your development, be it chords, scales, speed, endurance, improvisation or even songwriting. Then, the largest portion of the lessons will be dedicated to actual playing. We will typically work on one or two pieces per lesson. I will listen to you play attentively, and with my keen analytical ear will help you develop the skills you need to execute the pieces to a high level.
