I honestly don’t think I’d have made it through university without Dolores. She supported me through some of the darkest times in my life, including the loss of my gran. When I felt completely lost, she helped me rebuild my confidence, grounded me, and gave me lifelong coping skills that I still use every day. Her compassion, patience, and genuine care have changed my life in ways I can never fully express. In fact, she inspired me to become a mental health mentor myself and I now use so much of what she taught me to support other young people facing similar challenges. Dolores is outstanding as a mental health tutor and mentor. She listens, gives great advice and guides your journey with the utmost respect and concern. The conversations and help always felt down to earth and honest. You could speak plainly with Dolores and she will do the same. Theres a level of professionalism there that doesn't affect the feeling your talking to someone you can trust. And sometimes if mental health isn't the topic you want to speak about, she'll be there to talk about whatever, because a friendly chat always helps. She's always there and not once have i been let down schedule wise or during a meeting, completely transparent in that regard and dispite situations that may occur will fight to always be there, and wont judge if you cant be. Overall i dont think i would have made it through university without Dolores and her meetings. i feel a much better person for knowing her and listening to her advice and guidance.
