Affordable Nation 5 or GCSE Maths tutoring by a 4th year Computer Science student at the University of Edinburgh

Hi, I’m Sarah! I’m a 4th-year Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science student at the University of Edinburgh, currently on track to graduate with a First-Class degree. I also achieved A* grades in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and Physics at A-level. Additionally, I’ve completed a software engineering internship at Amazon, giving me practical experience. I offer tutoring in Computer Science at both secondary and college level, along with Mathematics tutoring at the secondary level. My lesson style is tailored to the individual student, their level, and their goals. For example, for exam preparation, sessions are typically structured around specific syllabus topics. We begin by reinforcing core understanding, ensuring concepts are clear and well-grounded, before moving on to targeted practice using past paper questions. These are then worked through and discussed in detail to develop exam technique and confidence. I focus on creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I’m particularly passionate about helping students build confidence in problem-solving and develop a deeper understanding of challenging topics. Whether you’re aiming to improve your grades, prepare for exams, or strengthen your foundations, I aim to make each lesson productive, approachable, and tailored to help you achieve your full potential.
