Experienced piano and music theory teacher offering online lessons

Joanna was born to teach and you couldn't find a better tutor to help you or your family to lteach and polish your piano playing and music theory. She is clearly enjoying the challenges that teaching brings;-). Our son has started with her last month, after years of face-to-face lessons with other tutors and we have no plans to go back to face to face lessons. It is as good, or even better than face to face with tailor made lessons, which are adjusted as you go, with detailed lessons notes full of linformation and links etc, not to forget Boom cards and recommented apps.We wish we had found Joanna years ago!

I have been studying under Joanna for just over two years now. I had wanted to learn for years, but having a full time job and a small child I struggled to find the time to learn. Joanna's professionalism and flexibility has allowed me to learn around my other commitments. I was reluctant to do online lessons at first, but her amazing teaching skills (and patience) has allowed me to pick up piano far quicker than I thought I would. I look forward to my lessons every week and am excited to see how far I can go.

Both of my daughters have had lessons with Joanna for many years via zoom. I find doing lessons this way incredibly helpful and effective. My daughters have a fantastic relationship with her and I trust her fully to teach them to the very best standard. They have acheived great things because of Joanna!

Exceptionally good, she really knows her music to a high degree, as well as knowing how the ABRSM gradings work. She displays great patience, and is a good motivator, also with a nice sense of humour. My piano playing has come on leaps and bounds since I have been with her, now getting ready for grade 7. A real find!

Joanna is an amazing teacher. Lessons are both fun and challenging. If you put the work in Joanna will go the extra mile for you and then some.

I've been taking lessons with Joanna for 10 years, starting as an absolute beginner. She's always been super supportive and friendly while also pushing me to play better and make progress. I've done well at my music exams but piano has also stayed feeling fun rather than a chore. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to start piano or get some more guidance.

My daughter started piano lessons with no previous experience and has made fantastic progress. The online format works really well, allowing her to learn on her own piano without any travel time. Lessons combine practical playing with music theory, helping her develop a deeper understanding of music rather than simply learning pieces by rote. The additional resources, including online Boom Cards cards and practice materials, keep learning engaging and support her development between lessons. Most importantly, she genuinely enjoys her lessons and looks forward to them each week.
