English tutor with over 10 years of experience in English tutoring

Hello, prospective students! My name is William, and I'm a native English speaker from Ireland with over a decade of experience teaching English as a second language, primarily in the vibrant country of China. I spent a significant portion of my career in Shenzhen, where I not only honed my teaching skills but also forged lasting friendships with both colleagues and students, some of whom I still stay in touch with today. My teaching philosophy is all about making learning enjoyable and engaging through English lessons. I firmly believe that education doesn't have to be dull; in fact, it's more effective when it's fun. This principle is especially vital when working with children, particularly the younger ones aged between 4 and 12 years. I've learned that to keep their focus and enthusiasm alive, it's essential to incorporate entertaining activities and games into our lessons. This approach not only makes learning more appealing but also helps to cultivate a genuine love for the English language. Additionally, my experience has provided me with valuable insights into the diverse needs of students from various backgrounds and age groups. I'm particularly excited about the prospect of teaching children and students from all over the world, fostering language skills and cultural understanding in a global context through English classes. On a personal note, I also have conversational-intermediate proficiency in Chinese, which can be advantageous in bridging any language gaps and making the learning process smoother for non-native English speakers. I'm here to provide engaging, educational, and enjoyable English tutoring for students of all ages, so if you're ready to embark on a language-learning journey that's both effective and fun, I'd be thrilled to be your online English tutor. Let's make learning English an exciting adventure!
