Friendly English Tutor for Children | Fun Grammar, Reading & Speaking Lessons (Ages 5+)

Would you like your child to feel more confident and enjoy learning English? Hello! I'm Emma, a CELTA-qualified native English teacher who enjoys helping children learn in a relaxed, friendly and encouraging environment. My lessons are personalised to each child's age, English level and interests. I believe children learn best when they feel comfortable, have opportunities to participate and can learn through enjoyable activities. What can we work on? Speaking and vocabulary: Practise everyday English through conversation, pictures and interactive activities. Grammar made simple: Understand grammar rules through clear explanations and practical examples. Reading and writing: Build skills in reading comprehension, spelling, punctuation and sentence construction. English for young learners: Develop vocabulary, listening skills and confidence using English. Primary-school English: Reinforce school learning and practise important English skills at an appropriate pace. I have experience teaching English to learners from different backgrounds, as well as supporting a British primary-school child with English and SATs preparation. I aim to make lessons engaging, supportive and suited to the individual child. Mistakes are a natural part of learning, and I want every student to feel comfortable asking questions and trying something new. Whether your child is learning English as an additional language or would benefit from extra support with English at school, I would be happy to discuss their needs and how I can help. Please feel free to get in touch to discuss lessons for your child!
