I am CELTA qualified, native English teacher with over 15 years international experience. I specialise in exam preparation, Business and Academic English. I speak several other languages so, not only do I know the challenges and joys of learning a new language, but I also have a deep understanding of lexical and grammatical difficulties students have and can use this knowledge to assist learning. I strongly believe that learning should be engaging and fun. Regarding exam preparation, as well as making my teaching enjoyable, I am able to use my extensive knowledge from working as an IELTS examiner to make sure you meet the precise IELTS marking criteria in order to get the best Band score possible. To start with, I will provide a practice reading, speaking and listening test to assess your level for these skills. Based on this information, plus a needs analysis, we can decide on what type of course is most suitable to achieve your desired band score. Note, I am particularly skilled at teaching writing for both the Academic and General exam papers and can offer top tips and strategies to maximize your results within short deadlines. All materials will be provided as well as sample answers and additional mock tests. Writing tasks will also be corrected with a clear indication of your strengths and areas that need improving.
