Hi! I'm William – a Mechanical Engineering graduate from the University of Edinburgh, now based back home in Cardiff. I studied at Whitchurch High School, where I achieved A grades in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and Physics at A-level. During my time there, I earned a Gold CREST Award for a research project with GE Aerospace Wales, and I also began tutoring through the Welsh Baccalaureate programme, helping fellow students prepare for their GCSE maths exams – the start of what has since become a real passion for teaching. I went on to complete a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Edinburgh, specialising in aerodynamics, marine systems, and renewable energy. While at university, I also worked as an ambassador for the School of Engineering, supporting outreach and mentoring programmes. Alongside my degree, I built over a year of private tutoring experience in Edinburgh, helping students improve their grades and confidence in maths and physics. Now back in Cardiff – and preparing to join the Royal Navy as an engineering officer – I’m continuing to offer one-to-one tutoring, combining academic expertise with real-world engineering insight and a commitment to helping others succeed.
