IELTS preparation lessons to get you ready for the exam

Hi, my name is Arina and I've been preparing students for IELTS since 2021. The exam has four main components: speaking, listening, reading and writing and in our sessions, you will practise strategies that will help you ace these skills and take the exam with confidence. When you get in touch with me, please let me know what exam you are taking: Academic or General. Listening and Speaking are the same in IELTS Academic and General but Writing and Reading are different. It's important to focus on the type of the exam that you need to make the most of the time leading up to the exam. Once we meet for the first session, I will be able to understand what specific skills you need to practise to achieve the band that you need. As you know, the top band is 9 and each band has its own expectations from the candidate. Since I've been preparing students for IELTS for a while and I have a master’s degree in teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, called DELTA, I know how IELTS’ grading system works and what you need to work on to get the desired score. In our sessions, we will focus on grammar and vocabulary, pronunciation and speaking skills. We will also practise responding to questions spontaneously without a delay and speaking continuously for 2 minutes. We will make sure you know how to organise your writing, such as 1) how to organise an official letter or a letter to a friend 2) how to discuss advantages or disadvantages of an important topic We will practise reading strategies so that you know how to scan for important information and how to spot essential details.
