I give 1 to 1 support to young people or adults that are struggling
Advert description
Coaching and mentoring is a big passion of mine, and I have 4+ years of experience within the youth work sector.
My approach is to use a range of analogies and real-life examples while tailoring a realistic while also ambitious plan for a young person.
I make a big emphasis on celebrating small wins when mentoring, positive reinforcement and constant engagement is a big factor for students that struggle to focus, as they believe they will never succeed.
Creating scenarios where students can exercise their way of thinking and apply themselves through a method of learning that suits them is crucial.
Doing the above is what I'm best at, mostly because I have ADHD myself. Through lived experience and years as a youth engagement practitioner, I have developed a skill for encouraging those who are more neurodivergent than others, to feel accepted and capable of overcoming their fatalistic mindset.
