Friendly tutor for GCSE and KS3, making tricky texts click, teaching how to write creatively & upbeat sessions and exam smart tips
Advert description
I’m a sociable, friendly tutor with clear communication and lots of patience. Classroom assistant experience and National Youth Theatre training mean I can explain ideas simply and keep sessions lively. I am reliable and confident of my knowledge of the subject, I study English Literature and Language for A level, and have attended English Seminars to further my understanding of the subject. I start with a quick baseline chat to set goals, then teach in small steps: model answers, guided practice, and short, focused tasks. We use past papers, plan strong structures, and build vocabulary and analysis skills. I give live feedback, set light homework if wanted, and share simple revision tools like checklists and paragraph frames. I can teach GCSE level at any exam board, as all exam papers for English Language follow a similar stucture. I love analysis as well as creative and persuasive writing- so I am prepared to support you in any aspect of your Language papers! Sessions are upbeat, organised and tailored to KS3 and GCSE needs.
