Cambridge University Graduate and Former Choral Scholar teaches singing!

Hello! My name is Greg and I have recently graduated from studying Undergraduate Music at the University of Cambridge where I held a Choral Scholarship as a Baritone and co-ran the Girton College Music Society. I now work as a dedicated music tutor/vocal coach! Over the last decade, I have performed as Valjean in 'Les Miserables', Raoul in 'Phantom of the Opera', Jack in 'Into the Woods', Caiaphas in 'Jesus Christ Superstar', Eddie Arch in 'Loserville', Audrey Two in 'Little Shop of Horrors', Galileo in 'We Will Rock You', Kevin Rosario in 'In the Heights', Danny in 'Calendar Girls', Oliver Warbucks in 'Annie', Mister Gobineau in 'The Medium', Melchior in 'Amahl and the Night Visitors', and most recently Fred Graham in 'Kiss Me, Kate'. I have toured Europe three times with Girton College Chapel Choir recording the music of Marc Antonio Ingegneri, and have had multiple solos broadcast on BBC Radio 3. I have also had the opportunity to musically direct a number of shows, including 'The Little Mermaid', 'Seussical the Musical', 'Kiss me, Kate!', and a musical adaptation of 'Holes' for which I also composed the score. My most recent project was the composition of my own original opera ('Plumes of Smoke') which was staged in Cambridge in March 2026! I am currently working on a Musical adaptation which I hope to take to the West End in due course... I believe it's good to be flexible: whatever level you happen to be at, and whatever it is within music you'd like to accomplish, I will be happy to accommodate your interests and craft personalised lessons for you! Ultimately, tutorial structure, content, and length will depend entirely upon your personal goals, whether you're working at GCSE/A-Level, applying to University, working toward grades, or just in it for the love of the game. Vocal coaching typically focuses initially on voice health and stability, then branches out into techniques specific to your genre/style of choice (Pop, Rock, Musical Theatre, Classical, etc.). Music theory and composition lessons have become much more popular recently, and I find that balancing prioritizing personal artistic expression and sprinkling in specific technical training is the way to go. Get in touch soon! I look forward to our first lesson...
