Experience English Tutor enjoys teaching students of all ages and levels

As a teacher, I am happiest to develop learning through dialogue and by encouraging curiosity among my students. I am committed to making each lesson a ‘learning experience’ where the subtleties, nuances and the gracefulness of the language are also taught to complement the grammatical and lexical foundations. My heritage is Celtic and Slavic. I was born and raised in London and have also spent time growing up in Wales. I studied History and Philosophy at University College London (UCL) before completing my postgraduate certificate of education (PGCE). I am a world traveller with over 10 years of professional experience as both a teacher of students within the UK and teaching English as foreign language to international students. I have held positions of teacher, consultant and personal communication trainer working with single individuals, groups & departments. Within these capacities, I have: - taught business English to corporate students and advanced learners seeking to raise their proficiency through the acquisition of industry specific vocabulary. - provided students with educational activities and experiences, motivating them with enthusiastic, imaginative and creative lesson presentation. - enabled students to fulfil their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical and social growth; - improved the methodology and pedagogy of teaching English through a program of Teacher Professional Development. Combining this prior experience with my natural talents and solid work ethic, I present myself as a well-rounded tutor that can facilitate progress of your language learning journey!
