Trusted A‑Level Chemistry Tutor with 17+ Years’ Experience

I have not had lessons from Petya but I have known her for 5 years and have found her to be reliable, responsible and personable. She is passionate about her subject and has a wealth of experience and knowledge in her field. She is patient and supportive and a great communicator. She can adapt to all levels and learning types and is an enthusiast when it comes to passing on her knowledge and meeting objectives.

Petya is a knowledgeable, patient, and supportive tutor. She explains concepts clearly, adapts her approach to the student’s level, and makes the lessons engaging and easy to follow. She is well organised, reliable, and genuinely committed to helping her students improve. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a professional and encouraging tutor.

I have known Petya for several years now. While I have not observed her teaching, I am happy to provide a character reference. Petya is a kind, warm, and genuinely caring person who builds easy rapport with others. Over the years she has consistently demonstrated excellent communication skills, patience, and the ability to explain concepts in a calm, clear, and supportive way. She shows strong empathy and professionalism. These excellent personal qualities lead me to believe she would create a positive and supportive learning environment. I recommend her as a person of genuine good character and integrity.

Petya and I worked together at one of the biggest global Contract Research Organisations that support pharma companies during their drug development projects. Her expertise was valued non only amongst our customers but also the entire department of more than fifty staff. Whenever senior and junior staff struggled with chemistry related questions Petya was the expert with the knowledge and patience to explain in easy digestible portions (hardly anybody of us had A-level chemistry knowledge). I always enjoyed to see her enthusiasm in general for science and in particular for chemistry. Never a step to far, never a lack of invention to teach and explain until she is satisfied that the chemistry is understood. Your kids will love her. She’s ‘cool’ ??

I was one of Petya's supervisors during her PhD training at Cranfield University. As well as being a knowledgeable and excellent chemist in the lab, Petya was always keen on teaching others about her science, including a poster session held in the Houses of Parliament, judged by Prof. Brian Cox, where she went above and beyond to demonstrate her enthusiasm and knowledge, including commissioning a custom visual aid! She has aided in the training of juniors in our lab, and so demonstrated patience and communication skills. I know that she has tutored in the past and is herself a parent to an 11 year-old son. Her articles, self-published on LinkedIn also show how she can communicate complex scientific facts in a straightforward and clear manner. I believe Petya would be an asset as a tutor in Chemistry.
