Piano & Guitar online in person, Bruton Somerset

Decided to take up learning classical guitar playing in retirement, with limited musical background. Didn't realise how difficult it was going to be. I was very lucky to find Jon lived nearby, to help me with introductions to technique, essential exercises, scales and arpeggios.

Jon explains his instructions very clearly, my daughter picked it up quickly and enjoyed each lesson, eager to practice more at home. She not only improved her ability with Jon but also grew in confidence with her new Guitar skills.

My daughter had lessons with Jon for a number of years over her time at primary and really enjoyed them. He was patient and kind and gave lots of opportunities to learn pieces of interest to my daughter as well as following an appropriate program of learning. I would highly recommend:)

Jon is a meticulous, patient and encouraging teacher whose lessons are carefully planned and, crucially, fun. Our son has made great progress with his playing under Jon's guidance, and loves having a teacher who also writes and performs his own music.

Jon is a patient and encouraging piano teacher. The lessons are always fun and I have learned a lot in a short time. Highly recommend.
