Experienced ESOL tutor helping students learn and practise English as an additional language

Hello! I’m Louise, a CELTA qualified ESOL tutor with several years’ experience teaching adults and teenagers, both in groups and one to one. I help learners feel confident using English in real situations, whether you’re just starting out or aiming to improve your skills. What you can expect: • Relaxed, friendly lessons designed to reduce anxiety and build confidence • Clear explanations with practical examples and guided practice • Speaking focused sessions to help you communicate naturally and fluently • Help with everyday English — conversations, work situations, travel, and daily tasks • Support with cultural differences so you feel comfortable and confident in UK settings • Personalised learning plans tailored to your goals, level, and preferred learning style My teaching approach: I understand that learning English can feel difficult, so I create a warm, encouraging environment where mistakes are a useful part of learning. I use interactive activities, real life communication tasks, and culturally sensitive teaching methods to make lessons meaningful and enjoyable. My students say they like how I explain points slowly and help them understand and practise. Experience & background: • CELTA qualified • Several years’ experience teaching adults and teenagers • Skilled in supporting groups and individual learners • Experience with multilingual classrooms and learners from diverse cultural backgrounds • Strong focus on speaking confidence, pronunciation, grammar, and everyday communication If you’re looking for supportive, personalised English lessons that help you grow in confidence and ability, I’d be delighted to work with you.
