Ethan is an excellent maths tutor - patient, clear and thorough in his explanations. He was always generous with his support and advice - a really nice man who cared about the welfare of his students. Our son achieved the top grade - a 9 - in a subject that he did not initially have any confidence in. We thoroughly recommend Ethan.

Superb tutor and person Ethan is an excellent and highly qualified tutor. He played a huge part in my teenage son's achievement at GCSE. This was not an easy task. When I engaged Ethan, my son was being scored in exam cycles and mocks at just Grade 3. He was really struggling to make sense of the syllabus. From the beginning, Ethan differentiated himself by interviewing me to understand the child’s history, including motivation and known impediments. Later, Ethan took time to coordinate his approach with my son's school teacher in a complementary way. The outcome of his dedication was that my son achieved an excellent grade (7) in his Maths GCSE. This was a huge success given the starting point and prior struggles. This achievement has really contributed to my son's confidence beyond Maths as he proceeds to A-Levels. Ethan's dedication to the students' success is apparent. Outcome was Grade 7 pass (up from 3-4 prediction)

A phenomenal tutor We contacted Ethan to help improve my son's confidence in Maths in preparation for the 11+ exams. Ethan's passion for the subject, dedication, professional and caring approach has not only improved and bought out the best in my son's performance but has also given him an enjoyment for the subject which goes beyond the exams. He really enjoys the lessons with Ethan, so much so that he looks forward to them. Ethan is an exceptional tutor who knows how to bring out the best in a pupil whilst adopting a caring, positive and thorough approach. We cannot recommend him highly enough. Teachers like Eth are extremely rare these days, especially if you want your child to think about mathematics. We've been with Tom for more than a year, and I highly recommend Tom for turning my 8-year-old into a junior mathematician. He is now at 9. My son has often surprised me with the variety of ways one can solve a problem, and this is purely down to Tom, who has highly influenced his thinking style and prepared him for the unprepared type of questions. I am happy to share that my son has been offered a place at one of London's top independent schools, with Tom's guidance. If you are looking for support in maths at any year group, then don't look further. You can completely depend on Tom for anything under maths. We've had a fantastic experience so far, and we are now looking to continue with him for another year. On a personal level, he is a lovely person to talk to and has always taken the time to understand our ideas and potential plans for our son, both offline and via email.

Primary maths tutoring Ethan has been a wonderful tutor for our son. Seb was struggling with some aspects of maths, so we decided to see if a tutor could help. Ethan was amazing. He made our son feel completely at ease and much more confident. Ethan actually looked forward to the lessons, and he has now completely caught up at school. I could not recommend Ethan highly enough. Subject : Maths Outcome : Sebastian is now really confident in maths and doing really well

We asked Ethan, an old friend, to tutor our son (aged 12). He was highly professional and methodical in his approach. Ethan is extremely well qualified and brought out the best in our son, who already quite liked maths but was short on confidence in the early stages of secondary school. Our son now says maths is his favourite subject, and Ethan’s tutoring was instrumental in getting him there.

Ethan has completely transformed the way my son Reyan approaches mathematics. Each session is engaging and thoughtfully planned, pushing Reyan to think critically and aim higher. What stands out is how Ethan balances challenge and encouragement—he never settles for “good enough” and always inspires Reyan to take that extra step. Reyan genuinely looks forward to his sessions every week, which says everything about the positive impact Ethan has had. His approach has sparked real curiosity and confidence in Reyan’s learning, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Ethan has worked with my son to extend and challenge him over the holidays. My son is a bright student with maths as a strength, and our ask for Ethan was to extend him beyond what was being taught at school and to help him prepare for transitioning to a much more academic school. Ethan took time to understand my son’s strengths and learning style, chose papers and problem sets that would systematically extend his mathematical knowledge and gave him the confidence to succeed in his new school and in UKMT challenges. He has formed a great partnership with my son, which has been very beneficial for him.

Ethan is professional, approachable, thoughtful and knowledgeable. His teaching style enabled our son, in just a few weeks, to learn to conquer exam nerves and timing issues and acquire the necessary tools to tackle tricky questions. This in turn, led to him achieving the top grade at IGCSE.

If you are looking for a math tutor who genuinely cares about student success, Ethan is the best choice. He is a kind, considerate and dedicated educator who goes above and beyond to ensure my children excel. His passion for making a difference is evident, and he works tirelessly to help them reach their full academic potential. He has been a transformative influence on their learning journey. Thank you so much for your continuous support.

Kind and very well prepared. My daughter is so happy to have Ethan as her GCSE Maths teacher.

After reading all the good reviews online, I contacted Ethan to prepare my son's 10+ exam. With a few months' lessons, I can clearly see my son's progress in GCSE maths. I'm happy with his approach, and my son is also looking forward to his lessons. I definitely recommend Ethan to anyone.

Ethan is an amazingly patient tutor who explains different concepts in depth. I am very much looking forward to the next class!

My daughter in Year 10 found Ethan to be very engaging; he explained things thoroughly, and she found his online whiteboard extremely helpful. I like how organised, communicative and flexible he is.

My son thought Ethan was really good at the trial lesson & he didn’t carry on until my son fully understood everything.

Ethan has been a fantastic maths tutor for my 10 year old who has struggled with maths for years. After only three months she has gained so much confidence, her understanding and ability in maths has grown immensely. Ethan is methodical and thorough with his teaching and also very patient. We can’t recommend him enough.

We are absolutely thrilled with the impact Ethan has had on our 16-year-old son’s education in maths, chemistry, physics, and biology. Naturally bright, our son needed a tutor who could both engage him and identify gaps in his knowledge, and Ethan has been outstanding. With an impressive ability to pinpoint and close subject-specific gaps, Ethan has built a strong foundation while keeping our son challenged and inspired. His clear explanations and tailored approach make complex topics accessible, and his encouragement has boosted both confidence and enthusiasm for learning. Thanks to Ethan’s expertise and dedication, our son achieved all 9s in his 2025 GCSE mocks. We cannot recommend Ethan highly enough; he truly stands out as an exceptional tutor!

Ethan is an outstanding tutor. My son was struggling with the GCSE syllabus. Ethan was systematic from the start, employing continual assessment and an approach that adapted to meet my son's specific learning needs. Ethan took the time to work through my son's flaws and develop him into a positive learner. As a result of his hard work, my son received a grade 9 in Maths GCSE. Given the starting point and previous problems, this was an enormous success. This success has significantly boosted my son's confidence in Maths as he prepares for A-Levels with Ethan. Ethan's passion for the pupils' success is evident.

Perfect - Peter was able to put my son at ease and helped him to feel much more confident about maths in the first lesson. He not only knows his subject inside out but also how to help other people understand it. He’s kind and empathic, too.

Great Tutor! He really cares about his students and keeps me updated with my child's progress. My child improved very quickly, and his grades increased significantly. I highly recommend him as a tutor!
