Looking to help people of all ages learn something new!

*Willing to cover topics in history, psychology, social work, sociology & anthropology, politics & government Hi there! My name is Sydney and I'm currently working towards my MA in Social Work at Cardiff University. I also have an MA in History from the University of Manchester, which I received in 2017. I have several years of experience teaching, tutoring, and writing educational lessons and plans. I have completed 100+ hours of childhood development training with an emphasis on trauma-informed practice, and 30 university credit hours in education, as well as four combined years' experience working as a child development teacher, teacher's aide, and substitute (supply) teacher. Over the last five years, I have worked in the social services field, gathering experience through working in child protection, asylum support, and disability support. I have worked successfully with both children and adults. I enjoy getting to know my students one-on-one, helping them to learn and grow. I have a strong passion for accessibility, and I tend to keep my lessons easy to understand, yet challenging and fun. I have a disability myself, so I am very disability-friendly, patient, and willing to learn just as much as you are! Fun fact about me: I'm originally from the USA! I was born and raised in Texas, grew up in Maryland, and have moved between the two of those places and the UK since my early 20s. Please let me know if you have any questions. I look forward to meeting with you!
