Academic tutor with 9 years' experience provides coaching for students

Having tutored English on a 1:1 basis for over nine years, I provide tailored coaching to students who are seeking to decide on study and career options, need help navigating educational and personal transitions, and want to overcome roadblocks to getting to where they want to go. I take an intuitive and reflective approach to coaching - previous clients credit my ability to listen, provide empathetic reflections and to challenge potentially limiting beliefs. I am able to build a warm and friendly atmosphere, and I find that a little humour goes a long way in allowing clients to relax with me and build a rapport that allows us to achieve the intended goals and results. My previous experience includes teaching English Literature and Language to students of all ages, but particularly those transition from GCSE to A-level, and then on to higher education. I have aided students in deciding what to study, what universities to apply to, and which refining which careers they would like to move towards. I have worked with many students from both mainstream and homeschooling backgrounds, and with a range of SEND students including issues with anxiety, depression, ADD, ADHD, Autism and much more.
