First-Class History Graduate | Expert GCSE & A-Level Tuition. Master your Exam Questions, Essay Writing and Source Analysis

Hey, I'm Melissa, I am a dedicated and driven female historian. My academic journey has been defined by a deep passion for the past and a rigorous commitment to historical excellence. For the past nine years, I have balanced my academic pursuits with a successful career in professional childcare. Working closely with families has taught me that education is not one size fits all. I pride myself on being a patient, adaptable, and encouraging mentor who can break down complexities of history into manageable and enjoyable chunks. Why choose me as your tutor? Having recently completed five years of intensive university study, the challenges of modern assessments are fresh in my mind. I understand the pressure of exams and the "blank page" syndrome many students face with essay writing. I don't just provide the answers; I provide confidence and the historical toolkit for students to find them independently. Whether you are looking improve grades or you are an A-Level student aiming for a top university spot, I am committed to helping you find your academic voice and achieve the results your hard work deserves. As a First Class History Graduate, combined with 9 years of professional childcare experience, my approach bridges the gap between top-tier academic expertise and patient, engaging communication. I prioritise teaching students how to think like historians and articulate their ideas in a concise and clear academic manner, particularly under exam conditions. I have extensive expertise in advanced historical essay writing, in-depth primary and secondary source evaluation, critical analysis, and historical theoretical approaches. These are the exact skills that will enable students to achieve higher band grades in GCSE and A-Level assessments and exams. Every student learns differently, my lessons are highly personalised and tailored to fit the individual needs of each student.
