Expert Science & Maths Specialist | GCSE Examiner | 20+ Years Experience Raising Results by 3-4 Grades

With over 20 years of experience teaching Secondary Science and Mathematics, I offer more than just tutoring; I provide a roadmap to academic excellence. My career is built on a proven track record of transforming results, frequently helping students jump 3–4 grades from their initial mock results to their final GCSEs. Why Choose an Expert? 1. GCSE Board Examiner: I don't just know the Science; I know the marking schemes. I teach students exactly how to frame their answers to secure every available mark, demystifying the specific "command words" that often trip them up. 2. PET-Xi Expert Tutor: My background includes supporting schools nationwide as a high-impact PET-Xi expert, delivering intensive interventions that build rapid confidence and skill mastery. 3. Specialist Content Knowledge: Whether it’s Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, I bridge the gap between complex theory and exam-day performance. 4. Over 20 years of experience, teaching science in secondary schools. My Teaching Method: The "Examiner’s Edge" My lessons are dynamic, individualised-pace, and highly interactive. I don’t believe in passive learning; instead, I use: Effective Questioning: I use the Socratic method to probe understanding and build critical thinking skills. Linked Tasks: Activities are directly tied to exam technique, ensuring no time is wasted on "fluff." Confidence Building: By breaking down daunting concepts into manageable steps, I empower students to approach even the hardest "Grade 9" questions with composure. Bespoke: I assess each leaner’s level, prior knowledge and gaps in learning, tailoring the teaching and tasks to their needs. My goal is to turn "I can't" into "I understand." Let’s bridge the gap between your mocks and your true potential.
