Experienced tutor and Computer Science student at Birmingham, teaching GCSE and A-Level Maths with a calm, clear approach

I’ve taught in a secondary school, run 11+ sessions, mentored younger students, and worked as a private tutor - so I know how to adapt my teaching to suit different ages, abilities, and confidence levels. My approach is calm, structured, and flexible, with a focus on making topics feel manageable and less overwhelming. I break down complex ideas step-by-step and explain multiple ways to reach a solution, helping students build problem-solving skills and real confidence - not just memorise answers. Whether we’re preparing for an exam or tackling a tricky topic, every lesson is tailored to how the student learns best. Outside academics, I’ve earned a black belt in Taekwondo and climbed Mount Kilimanjaro for charity - both experiences that shaped my discipline, patience, and resilience. I bring that same mindset into tutoring, creating a supportive space where students can make consistent progress.
