Biology and math tutor teaching students up to the high school level
Advert description
My name is Gordon Chen, and I am an incoming student at UPenn in the United States. Having graduated high school very recently and tutored underclassmen in my senior year, I am intimately familiar with the challenges students face and am keenly aware of how stressful and frustrating learning can be. My hope is to facilitate a positive, engaging environment and make the learning process less intimidating and disheartening. Learning isn't just about memorizing and applying concepts; it requires motivation, support from others, and a healthy space to explore and be inquisitive. I seek to help students develop their critical thinking and logical reasoning abilities and instill curiosity. Throughout high school, I worked in two university bioinformatics labs, qualified for the American Invitational Mathematics Examination, scored a 1580 on the SAT, and took science coursework at the AP and post-AP (i.e. Multivariate Calculus, Linear Algebra, Discrete Mathematics, Analytical Chemistry) level. I am willing to provide free trial sessions to ensure a good fit with any prospective student. If you have any questions, email me at or text me at-
