Expert Tuition on the drum kit and snare drum

Advert description

I am an internationally published professional drummer with over a decade of experience. I teach from my purpose built home studio with full audio-visual equipment and professional kit. I offer one-to-one in-person lessons, as well as online lessons for added flexibility. I offer specialised tuition in all styles of drumming, including solo snare drum repertoire, as well as the Trinity C&J Graded syllabus (with a 100% student pass rate). My books and compositions are sold worldwide, and I have an international following on YouTube. I endorse Bosphorus cymbals. Discounts are offered to regular students, and an online booking portal allows for flexible one-off bookings as well. Perfect for beginners to aspiring professionals, and children aged 8 and up.

Identifies the direction you want to take, and then tailors his lessons to achieve your objectives. Jonathan draws on a wide variety of teaching resources, not least his own excellent teaching texts, and will often create short instructional videos to help you through trickier techniques or coordination/rhythmic challenges. He has taken me from a complete beginner to an intermediate standard over the last few years, with the ability now to play funk, fusion and jazz to an acceptable standard, and continues to be incredibly supportive and encouraging as I tackle ever more complex material. Highly recommended. And he’s a nice guy too!

Very patient and adaptable teacher. Have had in-person and online lessons and while different, both were well delivered.
