I’m a warm, patient English and study skills tutor with experience teaching at college level and mentoring

My lessons are for school, university, and adult learners who want clear explanations, gentle accountability, and a safe space to ask questions without feeling judged. I draw on my background as an Assistant Professor of English Literature and my work in rural and urban schools to break complex ideas into simple, relatable steps, using examples, discussion, and interactive tools. In each session, we start with your goals and current challenges, then build practical strategies - activity based approach for essays, exams, presentations, or everyday communication, so you feel supported in the moment and steadily more confident working independently over time.
