Qualified and Experienced English Teacher, Examiner and Tutor GCSE and A Level (ONLINE ONLY)

Having Libby as my full-time tutor meant that I could complete my English A Level from home in just one year! My final grade was an A and I received A*s in my exams. I am now taking English at university, and I would not have been able to do it without Libby. She has a vibrant passion for English that is completely contagious and she is able to show any student the exciting and free nature of the subject of English, that is not able to be taught in schools. She tailors her lessons to what she believes the student will find the most interesting, allowing for their natural engagement, thanks to her extraordinary knowledge on her subject, yet always does so in a friendly, non-intimidating way. What I found best about Libby was the way she treated me as a friend from our first session. In her lessons she puts the voice of her students above her own because that is what she cares most about. I am an autistic student and she always worked with my needs to make me as comfortable as can be.

Libby was my tutor for my A Levels last year in Combined English. My final result was an A, and she helped me an incredible amount in reaching that goal. With her humour, kindness, and intelligence, she was a great asset to my progress in the subject.

Libby has tutored both of my children for their English combined Literature and Lang A-level throughout the course. Libby's knowledge of all English GCSE and A-level syllabus is fantastic and both of my children have really enjoyed all of the sessions they have had with Libby over the years. I can't recommend her highly enough for English academic tuition.

Libby supported me so much through my English GCSE. She explains everything so well and she’s very patient, committed and enthusiastic about each lesson. She kept me motivated and helped me to build my confidence to eventually get 2x 9s in the real thing!!
