I give affordable History tutoring lessons out to students in KS3, KS4 and A-Levels

I am a highly effective History practitioner in my third year of teaching. My lesson observations have been consistently excellent, with my strong behaviour management and positive relationship with pupils being repeatedly highlighted by my Head of Department and mentor as a strength. My experience in different educational settings has afforded me considerable opportunity to utilise and develop a portfolio of teaching and learning strategies such as, effective behaviour management, time management, marking and moderation and increasing engagement, progress, and attainment of all students.   I have delivered well planned and creative schemes of work across both Key Stage 3 and 4, which have yielded impressive results in terms of both pupil feedback and summative grades. I have been able to support learners of all abilities to achieve and progress with appropriate scaffolding and differentiation. I ensure that opportunities for stretch, and challenge are always implemented within my lessons, enabling students to achieve their full potential. My subject knowledge is excellent, and I am confident with many of the topics studied at both KS3 including topics such as William the Conqueror, Slave Trade, World War One and Two and KS4 level topics, Elizabeth, Medicine through time, Cold War and Nazi Germany, Crime and Punishment and can deliver content exceptionally well.  I strive to foster a sense of enjoyment and passion for history through all aspects of my lessons by ensuring that there are opportunities for students to engage in structured talk, discussions and visual aid.
