I’m a Celta qualified EFL/ESL tutor with 5 years of experience. I help my students improve their General English skills

I graduated from English Language Teaching Department at Akdeniz University in 2019. In the meantime, I managed to have an opportunity to work with young learners as an intern in the Erasmus Internship Program at Escola L'Avet Roig in Barcelona/Spain. During my bachelor's degree, I worked as a part-time office worker in Erasmus Department at Akdeniz University. After graduation, I founded my own teaching company in the UK, called "Melisa Selin Tuition". I have been delivering teaching services as a self-employed sole trader under the name of Melisa Selin Tuition for four years. Additionally, I achieved my Celta from International House London in August 2022. I have worked with various students since I qualified as a teacher. Teaching English to different levels has taught me practical skills such as monitoring to analyse students' needs, asking CCQs to check students' understanding, managing time, lesson planning, preparing materials by using the SARS technique (selecting, adapting, rejecting, and supplementing), and organising and running group sessions. I believe my true calling in this life is to be a teacher. Therefore, I have always been passionate about my work and open to development and alteration. For this, I have attended many seminars, conferences, and workshops that provide an enriching professional experience to develop my teaching ability and meet the learning needs of individual students.
