PhD student, QTS Teacher of Spanish with experience teaching from beginners to advanced, A(S)-Levels and GSCE

Fernando a native Spanish speaker, tutored my son over 18 months for his AS level Spanish exam and helped him do very well. He finds student’s strengths and then works from there to overcome their weaknesses. He is very encouraging and supportive as a tutor. He has a very clear simple and concise teaching manner and system which my son appreciated. He marked homework before the lesson so he could work on areas that needed attention with no delays. He was also flexible when we had to change lesson times due to unexpected circumstances or sporting disruptions. Fernando has a great report with his students and I recommend him very highly.

I highly recommend Fernando. He is an excellent and enthusiastic teacher. He makes learning Spanish fun and is very patient. I started having group lessons with him in a local college and continued with online lessons

Fernando was patient and helpful in our lessons and made them fun too.

Fernando is an excellent teacher. He is conscientious, reliable and very skilled at adapting lessons and materials to the requirements of the learner at an appropriate level. My Spanish speaking, listening and writing skills have all improved markedly since I started lessons with him. I highly recommend him!

Fernando is a highly dedicated teacher and makes lessons clear, engaging, and easy to follow. I truly loved his approach, especially, the practical examples he used during the classes. If you're looking for a real Spanish teacher, look no further!

I highly value Fernando’s teaching and motivational skills. I’ve known Fernando since I started taking Spanish lessons at my local college. The lessons were class room style but were interrupted by COVID and school closures. I have been an Online student ever since. During the classroom lessons I observed Fernando engaging with a diverse group of students. He holds attention brilliantly and uses really engaging materials. Songs, books, Spanish present day and history for example. I am learning Spanish in my 60’s purely for enjoyment and conversation whilst I spend a few months each year in Spain. I am not the quickest student, however Fernando adapts to my pace and tailors his teaching to what I really want/ need. He adjusts pace and materials brilliantly. I know he teaches Spanish at higher education levels. In a word, Fernando is ‘superb’. I highly recommend him. Gracias Rowland

Fernando is a great teacher and incredibly patient. As an academic at a UK university, he really knows his stuff, and it shows in how clearly and confidently he explains the language. I’ve really enjoyed learning Spanish with him—he keeps lessons light-hearted and fun, which makes a big difference. I recently had the chance to put my Spanish into practice in Barcelona, and it was amazing to be able to use what I’ve learned to speak with people in Spain. That experience really showed me how much progress I’ve made thanks to his teaching. He’s very supportive, and I genuinely look forward to our weekly sessions. I would highly recommend Fernando to anyone wanting to learn Spanish!

Fernando has been teaching me Spanish for a few months now. He's an excellent tutor. His teaching style is fun, helpful and motivating. I've had other tutors who weren't as enthusiastic and it was a lot harder. But Fernando has made it very easy to learn. I strongly recommend him.
