In the dynamic world of tutoring, I, Gigi, bring a lot of experience, blending 27 years of success in sales and marketing with a newfound passion for education. As a seasoned professional, I have navigated the intricate landscapes of the hospitality industry, holding positions such as Head of Sales and Sales Manager. These roles have not only honed my communication skills but also instilled in me a strategic mindset, crucial for fostering relationships and achieving organizational goals. My journey took an unexpected turn during the upheaval of the COVID-19 pandemic, leading to a shift from the bustling world of sales to the equally dynamic field of teaching. Embracing this change, I started studying a PGCE with a focus on Business Studies. My commitment to continuous learning and dedication to education was further solidified during a practical stint at a High School in Cape Town. There, I had the opportunity to impart knowledge to students ranging from grades 8 to 12, tailoring my approach to meet the diverse comprehension levels within the classroom. Since 2021, I have embarked on an independent tutoring venture, where my passion for education has found a new avenue for expression. Catering to students from grade 1 to adults, I have covered the entire spectrum of the current curriculum. For adult learners, the emphasis has been on conversational English skills, recognizing the importance of practical language use. My teaching philosophy revolves around adaptability and versatility. Whether conducting one-on-one sessions or facilitating group learning experiences for up to four students, I tailor my approach to accommodate different age groups and learning styles.
