Advert description

I am a self employed qualified tutor I adore languages and feel that in today's world they are of exceptional importance. I hold a Delf B2 in French in addition to a PGCE Cert/ed and I have been tutoring French for 8 years . Through my experience i have tutored children from primary school age up to A level and I have 8 years experience of GCSE and A level tutoring and I am also an experienced GCSE examiner. In addition, I have considerable experience in teaching adults from complete beginners to advanced and I sculpt my lessons around individual needs whether for business, pleasure or academia.I am passionate about languages and feel they are an important part of our experience when we travel. I love the diversity of the students that come to me for tuition and thus cater to their individual needs to ensure they meet and often exceed their language learning goals. Languages are all about communication and establishing that with students is key in ensuring a good rapport and success and enjoyment, through this comes an ability to talk openly about individual needs and requirements. I always ensure students enjoy their language experience and feel that they can approach me with any question re their learning.

My experience of learning Spanish with Georgia has been positive and rewarding at all times. She took me on as a (very) mature student when I had already studied Spanish up to GCSE standard, and I have benefitted most, perhaps, from gaining the confidence to talk and experiment with what I can say. She is is a patient and reassuring teacher at all times. Her knowledge of Spanish culture and the grammatical challenges of the language are extensive. I would certainly recommend her to anyone wanting to take the plunge into a different language.

I’ve been learning a language with Georgia for over 5 years and it’s been amazing!! I wanted to have tailored lessons so that I could speak in both a business and a holiday scenario. Lessons were always well prepped and not only focussed on the formal aspects of the language but also how it is spoken today. I went on to sit a formal qualification and passed that - thanks to Georgia’s experience working with exam boards, I knew how to answer the questions properly and interpret what the question was asking for. I’ve loved learning a new language and feel confident in speaking it both with colleagues and out and about. That’s all down to Georgia’s approach and her expertise.
