I provide one to one teaching and tutoring for GCSE and A Level. Lessons are subject specific and will prepare students for exams

My online lessons are carefully structured, engaging, and highly interactive, designed to make students feel confident, supported, and intellectually challenged. Sessions take place on Zoom and combine clear explanation, discussion, and guided practice, with lessons always tailored to the individual student’s needs, level, and goals. Each lesson usually begins with a short check-in and review, followed by focused work on a specific skill or topic — such as essay planning, close textual analysis, exam technique, or developing confident arguments. I make extensive use of screen sharing, collaborative documents, and visual prompts to break down complex ideas and make learning accessible and enjoyable. Students are encouraged to ask questions, explore ideas, and develop their own voice, rather than simply memorising content. I have extensive experience delivering online teaching to students across the UK and internationally, including IGCSE, A Level, and IB learners. As an examiner for several major exam boards, I provide clear, up-to-date guidance on what examiners are looking for and how to meet assessment criteria effectively. This means students not only understand the subject, but also how to succeed in assessments. My teaching style is calm, encouraging, and academically rigorous. I am particularly experienced in supporting students with specific learning difficulties, adapting lessons to suit different learning styles and building confidence step by step. Above all, my aim is for students to leave each session feeling clearer, more capable, and motivated to succeed.
